World Cup 2022: Portugal defeat Ghana 3-2, Ronaldo makes history

Portugal won their first game World Cup 2022beating Ghana 3-2 on Thursday night in Qatar.

All five goals were scored in the last 45 minutes of the game, but Portugal survived Ghana ensure victory in group H.

Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 65th minute, giving Portugal a 1-0 lead with a penalty.

Ronaldo became the first male player to score a goal in five World Cups.

Ronaldo’s first World Cup it was in 2006 when he converted a penalty against Iran. At the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Ronaldo scored five goals.

However, his heroism alone was not enough for Portugal to earn three points. Ghana tied 1:1 on a goal by Andre Ayew from Ghana in the 73rd minute.

Portugal reacted quickly, scoring goals in the 78th and 80th minutes to stop the game.

In his speech at Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ronaldo said he felt “betrayed” by the club and accused senior officials of trying to force him out.

Ronaldo now has a record 118 goals for the national team.
