‘Why her?’: Jews and Arabs pay tribute to peace activist killed in Hamas attack

On Thursday, hundreds of Jews and Arabs came together for the funeral of another casualty of the Hamas attacks in Israel on October 7 – peace activist Vivian Silver. They gathered at Gezer kibbutz in central Israel where the 74-year-old had lived in the 1970s. When the Hamas gunmen attacked southern Israel last month, Silver was living in Beeri kibbutz near the Gaza border.
