“Moments of tension sometimes force governments to act with caution,” former US Ambassador to Israel Daniel B. Shapiro, director of the N7 Initiative, told Fox News. “What is remarkable about the N7 conference is that, despite this tension, the participants from Israel and about ten Arab states were not just willing, but eager to come to Abu Dhabi for the meeting.”
Shapiro said that as a result of the negotiations in the United Arab Emirates, the participants showed interest in the large-scale use of Israeli water technologies in the Middle East, which can solve the problem of food insecurity through collective action.
“Most of all, they want to combine their knowledge and experience and jointly apply these solutions as N7 regional partners,” Shapiro said.
