VIDEO: Indonesian rescuers rescue six-year-old boy from rubble

A six-year-old boy has been rescued from the wreckage of the deadly Indonesian earthquake after spending two days trapped under the rubble without food or water in what has been called a “miracle” rescue.

The dramatic moment was captured on camera by an emergency worker deployed to the area after an earthquake hit the West Java city of Chanjur that killed at least 271 people.

The man who pulled the child out of a hole cut in the rubble grabbed him with both hands, while another rescuer in an orange helmet ran after them to take the boy by the hand, footage released by the Bogor District Administration of West Java showed.

Azka, whose last name remains unknown, was then shown calmly sipping a drink held by a soldier while another rescuer stroked his hair.
