TikTok Post Writer Asks Lizzo To Wear Her Dress – And She Actually Sent It

The rumors are true: Lizzo made the author’s dream of stunning images of the singer come true.

Written by Oriel Marie, whose pronouns they/she, posted a video on TikTok last month by asking the Rumors singer to send them one of her iconic dresses. Marie, who wrote her debut collection of poems called “Gumbo Ya Ya”, was invited to attend Out Magazine’s Out100 event in New York on Wednesday. The Georgia native was named to the 100 influential and powerful LGBTQ+ people published by the publication for 2022.

“This is the biggest award of my career and I want nothing more than to be in New York in a month and accept the award along with the other Out100,” Marie said in the video. “But there’s only one little problem: bitch, I can’t find what to wear!”

The award-winning poet then reflected on how Lizzo advocated inclusiveness of the body and self-love throughout his career.

“The courage you’ve marked in your career has helped me go out and be brave myself,” they said, before asking Lizzo to wear her 2022 Emmy dress.

Marie explained that they knew the request was far away, but apparently Lizzo didn’t think it was too much of a request.

The Grammy-Emmy-winning singer sent Marie the dress she wore to the 2019 American Music Awards.

Good Tuesday Marie posted a video update on TikTok while trying on a dress. Marie can be seen screaming in excitement and becoming emotional due to Lizzo’s gesture.

Marie said receiving the dress was “the gift of a lifetime” on Twitter. topic published happy friday

“Fat people are scrutinized, we are made to feel small,” they wrote. “If I don’t go out feeling better? I don’t have armor for the shots that the world ACCEPTS.”

“I made this video as a Hail Mary, absolutely sure it wasn’t going anywhere,” they continued, adding, “You created my world @lizzo. Thank you Sis.”

Maria shared a video dancing happily in Lizzo’s dress at the Out100 event.

Lizzo talked about the experience in her post on Wednesday.

“It’s easy to be kind” – artist wrote, “and my absolute pleasure… [Marie]You look wonderful!”
