The previous government tried to “shove” statistics on how much electricity prices would rise

According to Labor MP Meryl Swanson, the previous coalition government tried to “nudge” statistics that would show the current government how much electricity prices would rise.

“I understand how important it is for us to have two things: first, enough electricity, and second, electricity that people and businesses – whether small, medium or large, can afford,” she told Sky News Australia.

“We know that before the last election, Angus did everything possible to push him away so that we don’t see how much they are really going to rise.

“We also know that we have this RepuTex simulation where we see that by 2025 we should see a reduction, we are making incredible investments in things like the grid and renewables.”
