The government will closely monitor the gas market

Assistant Commerce Secretary Tim Ayres says the government will be watching the gas market “very closely”.

“We acted with real determination and I’m sure it had a very positive impact on pricing and supply,” Mr. Ayres told Sky News Australia.

“We will continue to pay attention to these issues, it is absolutely in the interest of households, as well as in the interest of our manufacturing business.”
