Taiwanese military put on high alert after Chinese aircraft carrier spotted

The Taiwanese military was put on alert after a Chinese aircraft carrier was spotted heading towards the territory.

The Ministry of National Defense reports that three PLA ships passed along the median line in the Taiwan Strait this afternoon, including the 300-meter aircraft carrier Shandong.

Aircraft and ships from the Taiwan Air Force were deployed to monitor the situation.
