Chicken, pork inventory down at start of year

THE country’s chicken and pork inventory is lower at the start of the year, the Department of Agriculture-National Meat Inspection Service (DA-NMIS) said on Wednesday. Meanwhile, 18,330.93 MT, or 34.9 percent, of the total inventory were locally produced chickens. Central Luzon logged the highest count of available dressed chicken at 16,624.83 MT.
