STT GDC taps joint venture for data facility project

STT GDC Philippines said Wednesday that the First Balfour-Leighton Asia Joint Venture (FBLJV) would be constructing STT Fairview, which it said would be the largest data facility in the country.

FBLJV will serve as the general contractor for the first phase of the data center project, scheduled for completion by early 2025.

“We collaborated with the First Balfour and Leighton Asia Joint Venture to turn our vision into reality by marrying local expertise with global best practices,” STT GDC President and Chief Executive Officer Carlo Malana said.

STT Fairview, which broke ground in May this year, will add 124 megawatts of capacity to the company’s portfolio and reinforce its market presence.

STT GDC Philippines currently has seven data center facilities in Makati, Quezon City and Cavite.
