Simon Birmingham is ‘wetting the bed’: Rowan Dean

Sky News host Rowan Dean says Shadow Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Birmingham is “wetting the bed” after it was revealed he voted against a bill which would have banned gender surgery for children under 18.

“We saw Simon Birmingham again wetting the bed, figuratively speaking, in the Senate this week,” Mr Dean said.

Reportedly, Labor and Greens senators voted against the bill proposed by Senator Alex Antic, including several Liberal senators.

“Why do you think you won the Voice Liberals? Because you didn’t have a conscience vote,” he said.

“Conviction will always trump conscience votes.

“So Birmingham, put him in his box, don’t let him out again before until after the election if the Libs want to win government.”
