Social media users have reacted online to Donald Trump’s “savage” Super Bowl-style ad attacking his Republican rival Nikki Haley ahead of the South Carolina primary.
Released on Super Bowl day, the ad depicts a referee overturning Haley’s claim of never wanting to raise the Social Security age.
The ad features a referee reviewing past statements where Haley suggests 65 years of age is too low for social benefits, advocating for an increase.
It comes as the former US president is dominating his GOP presidential rival Haley in the polls ahead of the South Carolina primary on February 24.
According to a new CBS/YouGov poll, 65 per cent of likely GOP voters in South Carolina would vote for Trump in the primary, compared to 30 per cent for Haley.
