Best Red Carpet Fashion SAG Awards 2023

From Zendaya to Michelle Yeoh, check out the best-dressed celebrities at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles.

When the biggest names in Hollywood gathered for 29th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, it soon became clear that they had come to have fun. Sunday night’s red carpet was filled with playful details, sparkling sequins and rich colors.
Among the best dressed at night was Zendaya, who made a splash in a Valentino bustier dress, custom-designed by the label’s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli. The strapless gown was embroidered with nearly 200 silk roses that formed an elegant train behind her.
The Euphoria star wasn’t the only contestant to opt for floral embellishments, which ranged from the bold floral embellishments of Oscar de la Renta’s Emily Blunt bodycon dress to the subtle print of Carolina Herrera’s Stephanie Hsu. Paul Mescal also hit the trend, releasing a transparent coat embroidered with petals adorned with precious stones.

Meanwhile, sequins and metallics have brought flair to LA’s Fairmont Century Plaza, whether it’s the sparkling hand embroidery on Danielle Dedwyler’s ombre Louis Vuitton dress or the gold fringe on Michelle Yeoh’s couture Schiaparelli dress. Abbott Elementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph shone in a sequined Tadashi Shoji dress, while Aubrey Plaza also impressed with a daring belly-baring sequin look from Michael Kors.

Wearing a flowy Valentino gown, White Lotus star Sabrina Impacciatore was – along with Ariana DeBose, in an oversized Prabal Gurung pantsuit – among several actors wearing hot pink. Others opted for eye-catching shades of yellow, including Viola Davis, also in Valentino, and Dahmer star Nicy Nash-Betts, who wore a strapless Vera Wang gown.

Some of the best men’s outfits of the evening also included color: Austin Butler and James Marsden contributed to the black tie dress code by wearing maroon and light blue tuxedos, respectively. And Eddie Redmayne brought welcome extravagance to the red carpet in a statement Saint Laurent blouse and wide velvet trousers.
