Robert Saleh Says Jets Will ‘Turn Rocks’ On Dalwyn Cook Running Back
New York Jets to ‘turn stones’ on running back Dalwyn Cook after Minnesota Vikings released a four-time Pro Bowler on Friday.
Good Friday Jets head coach Robert Saleh was asked if the organization was interested in adding Cook to the roster, and the third-year head coach did not rule it out.
“Obviously we’re going to turn rocks on this one, but then again, it’s probably going to be more like Joe. [Douglas] question. I don’t know how the money will go for this,” Saleh told reporters.
Cook was released after Friday six seasons with the Vikings, who saved $9 million on a cap by switching after June 1.
“I have the utmost respect for Dalvin and am grateful for his contributions on and off the field,” Minnesota Coach Kevin O’Connell said. “Dalvin is a tough, dynamic player and leader who is respected by his teammates, as evidenced by his many seasons as team captain.
“As a finalist for the 2022 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award, Dalvin’s approach to the game and his commitment to sportsmanship are respected throughout the league. We appreciate Dalvin’s positive attitude, energy and leadership and will support him in the future.”

Cooke was selected by the Vikings in the second round. 2017 NFL Draft and rushed for 1,173 yards and threw eight touchdowns last season.
In six seasons in the NFL, Cook rushed for 5,993 yards and threw for 47 touchdowns.

Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos They are expected to be interested in signing Cook, according to ESPN.
