Rishi Sunak of the UK Officially Becomes Prime Minister Amid Economic Crisis

Former Minister of Finance Rishi Sunak met with King Charles III as he formally took office as Britain’s new prime minister on Tuesday.

The meeting with Charles and Sunak, the first British Asian to hold office, is part of a handover ceremony known as the “kissing of the hands” following the resignation of Liz Truss last week.
