Ramovich about non-payment of salaries in TS Galaxy

TS Galaxy coach Sid Ramovich accused the club’s former spokesman of fabricating lies about unpaid salaries at the club.

The media asked Ramovic about it in Durban after his team’s 2-1 victory over Amazulu last weekend.

Over the past week, various media outlets have widely covered the issue that some of the Galaxy players were left without a salary.

Even the Safpu Players’ Union, through its vice-president Tebogo Monyai, has confirmed that they are looking into the matter.

Monyai told SABC Sport that the matter has reached their offices and is being resolved. He also stated that this is not the first time.

“Now I can assure you that this matter has reached our office,” Munyai is quoted as saying.

“This is not the first time, many of you don’t know this, but about four or five months ago, TS Galaxy didn’t pay players for two months.

“We are very concerned about the non-payment of players, especially in the professional ranks,” he added.

Tim Sukazi – angel

But Ramovich denied these reports, claiming former club spokesman Minenkhle Mkhize was behind the lies.

“The fact that they wrote a lot about non-payment of salaries … I can definitely say that this is nonsense,” Ramovich said.

“Our players – do you really believe they tried so hard on the pitch if they weren’t getting paid? No!

“So everything that was written was because of the media guy who was in our club, he is not here anymore.

“Maybe he is angry and publishes lies in the media, just to come up with something. I don’t know what it is,” insisted Ramovich.

The Serbian-German coach did not call club president Tim Sukazi an angel.

“We don’t want to waste so much time on this nonsense because our chairman is a handsome guy,” Ramovich added.
