Padres helps Yoo Darvish win 100th MLB win
DENVER – Yu Darvish became the second Japanese pitcher after Hideo Nomo with 100 wins in MLB on Friday, despite a less-than-stellar effort in the San Diego Padres’ 9-6 victory over the Colorado Rockies.
The Padres noticed Darvish (5–4) leading 6–0 at Coors Field, and the right-hander allowed four runs on five hits and four walks in 5⅓ innings, striking out six.
Darwish expressed his gratitude to those who made his achievement possible.
