Organizers of Taylor Swift Brazil Shows Say They Could Have Done More in Extreme Heat

The organizers for the Brazilian leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour have said more could have been done to help fans cope with the extreme heat that coincided with performance dates in Rio de Janeiro. The statement from Brazilian entertainment company Time4Fun (T4F) followed the death of a 23-year-old woman who fell ill at Swift’s opening show in Rio on November 17. The following day, temperatures of over 110 degrees Fahrenheit (43.8 Celsius) in the city prompted the postponement of Swift’s show. Footage released by T4F shows the company’s chief executive Serafim Abreu speaking about the situation. Swift was due to begin a three-date stint in Sao Paolo on November 24. Credit: T4F via Storyful
