North Korea calls ICBM launch a ‘warning’

North Korea launched an intercontinental ballistic missile this week as a warning of the continuation of US-South Korean military exercises, state media reported Friday.

According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Thursday’s missile was meant to “strongerly warn enemies who deliberately escalate tensions.”

Ministry of Defence said on Thursday that its frequent joint military exercises with South Korea continue to deter North Korean attacks.
