ALVIN, TX (KTRK) — Authorities are looking for a missing 2-year-old child last seen in Pasadena whose mother is dead and whose father is accused of murder.
Texas EquuSearch conducted a search for Nadia Lee at Coastal Plains Recycle at 21000 Highway 6 east in Alvin on Monday, officials said.
Nadia was last seen outside her father Giron Charles Lee’s apartment on the 300 block of South Ritchie Street in Pasadena on October 10. 16 around 8 p.m., according to Houston police.
Thursday, Oct. On December 20, officials combed Pasadena Memorial Park, adjacent to the complex, for most of the day. They don’t have a full description of Nadia’s outfit, but they say she was wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt at the time of her disappearance.
Nadia has brown eyes, black hair, and is about a two-year-old child’s height and weight. At the start of the investigation, Sergeant HPD. Blake Roberts said they were investigating the murder.
“We received information, as well as physical evidence and digital forensic evidence, to determine that foul play took place,” Roberts said, adding that DNA was one of the evidence found in Lee’s apartment.
Sources say investigators believe Nadia was killed there.
“I don’t think this will lead to the positive outcome we would like,” said Tim Miller, founder of Texas EquuSearch. “One of my biggest fears is that there might not be a result.”
Nadia’s father was charged with the murder of her mother, who was also his civil wife, Nancy Reed. Lee, 26, is accused of fatally strangling 22-year-old Reid at the Clear Lake Hotel on Bay Area Boulevard late Tuesday, October 10. eighteen
At the time, Lee was arrested and held in the Harris County Jail on $250,000 bail. Roberts said he could face additional charges related to his daughter’s disappearance.
His two children, ages 1 and 3, were present at the time of the murder. They were unharmed and were taken into CPS custody. Family members confirmed that the couple has five children.
“It’s heartbreaking. This is true, ”said the grandmother of the missing two-year-old Nora Reed. “My heart is breaking in two. I just hope we find the baby, we find Nadia.”
As part of their investigation into Reed’s murder, police said they had received information about a missing child, who was later revealed to be Nadia.
Relatives told ABC13 they tried to help Reed escape in what they believed was an abusive domestic relationship. They had little contact with the children and could not provide information about Nadia’s disappearance.
The little girl was reportedly living with Lee’s relatives in Louisiana.
“Nancy refused to accept our help,” said Delia Reed, her older sister. “When we tried to help with her relationship with Giron, she always ran to him. They were always going back and forth with the kids, back and forth with the kids, from Houston to Louisiana.”
