Melbourne’s pubs charge $16 for a pint of beer as cost of living pressure worsens

Sky News Northern Australia correspondent Matt Cunningham discusses Melbourne’s pubs preparing to charge up to $16 for a pint of beer amid cost-of-living pressure.

The Australian Energy Regulator will publish a draft default market offer for electricity in New South Wales, South Australia and South East Queensland with projections that electricity bills could rise by $372 a year.

“$16 for a pint of beer is a pretty extraordinary price,” Mr Cunningham told Sky News anchor Pete Credlin.
