LeBron James has no plans to end his career after the Lakers flew out of the playoffs: “Let’s see what happens next”
LeBron James he will be 39 years old before the calendar hits 2024. He is already the all-time NBA scoring leader, 19th NBA First Team player, four-time NBA MVP, and four-time NBA champion.

“We’ll see what happens next,” James said. “I don’t know. I don’t know. I have a lot to think about, to be honest. As for me personally, when I play basketball, I have a lot to think about.”

James signed a two-year contract to return to Los Angeles. He is owed $46.9 million next season and $50.6 million in 2024-25 if he chooses to continue in his 40th season.
Given the injuries that have plagued the superstar over the past two seasons, James has spoken about the possibility of him being on the court.
“It’s all about accessibility for me, keeping my mind sharp and stuff like that,” he said. “To be present on the floor, to be present in the locker room, as well as on bus and plane trips and the like. It’s difficult, of course. It was a very difficult season for me, for our baseball club, and obviously we know what happened at the beginning of the season (2-10 Lakers at the beginning of the season). It was cool, pretty cool ride.”

James finished the regular season averaging 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game. He hasn’t played more than 60 games since the 2019-20 season, when the league went into a bubble format due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was his last championship.
“I think I’ll think about my career when I’m done, but I don’t know,” he said. “The only thing I’m worried about is being available to my teammates and I don’t like the fact that I haven’t played as many games as I would like because of the injury. That’s the only thing I care about is being available to my teammates.”

James has made it clear that he wants to play with his son when he enters the league. Bronnie James it will be at least another year before he turns professional.
