Lansing Correctional Facility investigates after inmate leaves

KANSAS CITY, Missouri. — The Lansing Correctional Facility is investigating after a minimum-time prisoner was declared a breakout on Sunday.

Joshua W. Renfro, 39, reportedly left the facility around 9 p.m.

Authorities said he went missing when Renfro “couldn’t be found in the minimum security block.”

The correctional facility says Renfro is 6ft 1in and weighs about 175lbs. He also has brown eyes, brown hair, and tattoos on his torso, neck, arms, arms, and legs.

He is currently serving a 30-month sentence for violating a 2020 extended protection order in Allen County, according to Lansing Correctional Institution.
