Landslide prompts evacuation of Colfax residents
Some residents of Colfax, California, were forced to leave their homes after a landslide hit a home on Tuesday, March 14, the Placer County Sheriff’s Department said. The home on Ben Taylor Road was severely damaged, but no one was hurt, Cal Fire said. The evacuation order was lifted around 8:30 p.m., with the exception of three homes that the Placer County Sheriff said would need to be reassessed on Wednesday.
