KonsultaMD ties up with insurance firms
KONSULTAMD has forged partnerships with Etiqa Philippines, a provider of group health insurance for corporations, and independent insurance broker Lacson & Lacson Insurance Brokers Inc. to make health care services more accessible to Filipinos.
The collaboration is aimed at improving the delivery of telehealth care via KonsultaMD’s online app.
The telemedicine provider said the app’s new feature would enable users to easily manage multiple health plans, including their dependents. It will also eliminate the need to file a letter of authority or letter of guarantee, making doctor consultations more convenient.
KonsultaMD Chief Executive Officer Cholo Tagaysay claimed the initiative had never been done before and that their company was striving to be part of every Filipino’s health care journey.
“There’s a synergy to be found here, as we both share the vision of making health care easy and accessible. We are very happy to have Etiqa and Lacson & Lacson as part of our cause,” Tagaysay said.
Meanwhile, Etiqa Vice President Malu Castillo-Mamaril said customers would be able to access Etiqa services faster as the partnership would remove layers of approval.
“Through KonsultaMD, Etiqa will be able to further improve our service delivery and make health care more accessible,” she added.
For his part, Lacson & Lacson Chief Operating Officer Nicolas Lacson noted that health care digitalization had changed the way customers use their benefits and that that partnership would allow them to grow.
“We view this partnership as a way to broaden and expand the access of our members and clients to their health care plans. Powered by KonsultaMD, members can now reach out to medical professionals in a convenient and cost-efficient manner,” Lacson said.
