Kanye West confirms 2024 presidential campaign and asks Donald Trump to be his running mate

Kanye West has confirmed that he will run in the 2024 US presidential election as a candidate.

West, now known as Yeh, posted his first campaign video for his second run for America’s highest office. He also ran in 2020 with 70,000 votes compared to Joe Biden’s 80 million.

The video, which was a one-minute and 51-second stream of consciousness recapping a meeting he had with Donald Trump at the former president’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, showed West’s campaign logo, a simple “YE24” against a blue background.

West also stated in the footage that he asked Trump to be his vice president, and Trump was “most angered” by the offer.

“Trump literally started yelling at me at the table saying I was going to lose. Has this ever worked for anyone in history?” he said.

Trump announced last week that he would run for president again in 2024.

West’s 2024 presidential campaign follows several turbulent years for the rapper, producer and provocateur, during which he forged ties to far-right figures including Milo Yiannopoulos and Nicholas Fuentes. With the latter, he attended Trump’s Mar-a-Lago dinner.

Fuentes is a white nationalist and Holocaust denier. In the video, West claimed he was urging Trump to listen to loyalists like Fuentes.

After West’s anti-Semitic ranting and the “White Lives Matter” T-shirt stunt at his fashion show, he lost a number of corporate partnerships, including a lucrative deal with Adidas.

“White Lives Matter” is a slogan closely associated with white supremacist groups.

In the ensuing melee, the talent agency also turned down West, while Gap and Balenciaga Fashion said his global title stable would no longer work with him.

West claimed to have lost $2 billion in one day when those ties were severed.

He was also banned from social networking sites, but his Twitter account was later reinstated.

Earlier this week, rolling stone reported claims of “porn, bullying and mind games” and “toxic environments” among the team that worked on his Yeezy sneakers at Adidas.

Adidas employees said that West showed pornographic images of Kim Kardashian’s ex-wife as a “scare tactic”.

These incidents were also detailed in an open letter. titled “The Truth About Yeezy: A Call to Action for Adidas Leadership”, which was received by rolling stone.

In it, many senior Yeezy employees accused Adidas executives of turning off their “moral compass” and allegedly allowing West to create an “offensive” corporate culture.

Employees noted that the public sensed West’s problematic behavior when he released a 30-minute documentary on YouTube showing porn of Adidas executives – a common sight, according to insiders.

In the fisheye footage, a 45-year-old man held his phone horizontally in front of awkward businessmen as the video played.

Is this a porn movie? one of them asked, to which West replied, “Yes.”

“Jesus Christ,” one of the men joked back, his face blurry.

“Come on, man. Come on,” the man said, pushing the phone away while West tried to get them to look further.

Former employees also told the publication that West would constantly show pornographic images and videos, including his own sex tapes.

“I feel like it was a tactic to break the man and establish his unwavering loyalty to him by testing and breaking people’s boundaries,” one person said, while another claimed West was specifically targeting female employees.
