Insurer uses Metaverse to hire

SUN Life of Canada (Philippines) Inc. announced last May 18 that it had created the Metaverse for its future employees.

The insurance company said in a statement that Metaverse will mirror the current facilities of Sun Life-Asia’s Philippine Service Center (ASCP) office using three-dimensional (3D) technology. The Metaverse, according to the insurance company, will allow candidates to create their own avatars and navigate, interact and interact with Sun Life’s recruiters and hiring managers – “just like it was in real life.”

The insurance company said it also launched a chatbot, a computer program designed to simulate a conversation with human users, especially over the Internet.
