Homemade tweet home, ‘Bird’ is reunited with his family

Corpus Christie, Texas. The Wakes family had a nightmare on Monday, November 14 when their bird flew away.

They owned Bird for two years and now they have six birds: Bird, Snow, Tweety, Dipsy, Birdie and Shady.

Usually every morning, Vasquez takes him on a pleasure trip to take her two girls to school, but Bird did not like the weather that day.

“Our bird got out, we took her for a little walk, as we usually do, she takes the children to school, and the day was rainy – a drizzling day, and she got scared and flew away,” said Roxanne Vazquez, a poultry specialist. Owner.

The heartbroken family did not know if their bird would ever return home.

Vasquez said they looked everywhere for him.

“We were looking at the trees, we were looking at the lines of the posts, at the fence, trying to see if it was in someone’s yard, it was hard,” she said.

“We were so sad, this is the first bird I’ve ever had and it’s a bond I don’t have with any other bird,” said 12-year-old Chloe Wakes.

Looking for the Bird was not the same as looking for a dog or a cat, it was a test for the family because they didn’t know where to look.

So Vaques said she took it to Facebook to post to the Lost & Found Pets group that Bird was missing, and to her surprise, her post got a lot of comments saying the bird had landed on someone’s head.

“It was so scary after we found out that someone found it, we didn’t know if they were going to return it, because right after that, whenever they found it, they fell in love with it,” said she is.

Roxanne said she immediately contacted the person who posted her bird. She said she had to prove that the Bird was hers.

Luckily, Roxanne and her family had lots of photos and videos of Bird, as well as the letters and numbers on Bird’s silver bracelet.

When the Vasquez family reunited with Byrd, they were overwhelmed with happiness.

“I am very grateful to him for bringing my bird back and sharing it on the page,” said Roxana.

She adds that her reunion with Bird definitely struck up a friendship.

Brandon Sellers, surgeon of Christus Spohn, was the lucky one to find Byrd.

The sellers wrote on Facebook that the Bird landed on his head. He added photos and even a video of little Bird showing off his dance moves.

Roxanne said she tried to reward him, but he refused to accept it because he knew what it was like to lose a pet.

She told those people who have lost pets not to give up looking for them.

Roxana said she was very grateful to Sellers for keeping her bird warm and bringing it back.

The Wakes family is very happy that Bird is at home and now he is being punished for flying away.
