High Court has ‘no respect’ for Australians’ safety following its detainee ruling

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson says the High Court has “overstepped the mark” following its ruling on indefinite detention.

The High Court has come under fire after it decided to overturn a previous ruling of a two decade standing, and more than 80 detainees were released into the community.

“These are criminals, these people have committed murders in their own country,” Ms Hanson told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“The High Court has no respect for the safety of Australian people to allow these people to be released on the streets of this country.

“I think it’s wrong.”
