Georgia’s Jalen Carter, recently charged with a fatal crash, was pulled over in September for “recklessness.”

Jalen Carter was recently charged with reckless driving after a crash that killed a Georgia teammate and a recruiter, but this wasn’t the first time he’d taken a risk behind the wheel.

Recently released body camera footage shows a potential first choice in NFL Draft was stopped back in September for “recklessness” on the road.

Carter was also given tickets for his tint—his driver’s side window tint was too dark, and in the state of Georgia, windshields may not be tinted at all.

A police officer later said that he would have let Carter slip if he had not been “reckless”, but it is not known how fast Carter was moving.

“We wouldn’t be talking if you were speeding. I wouldn’t care about the shades, but when you do something stupid, so stupid, I will pile on you … It was reckless, ”continued the policeman.

The officer said Carter was the third Georgia football player he had stopped in the past two days, and he stopped Dylan Fairchild “a minute ago” for “making 70” in the same area. Carter was originally in Indianapolis on Wednesday to take part in the NFL scouting unit, but hurried back to Atlanta. where is the arrest warrant was issued for his alleged involvement in the crash that killed Georgia offensive lineman Devin Willock and 24-year-old Chandler LeCroy. Lecroy was driving at 104 mph with a BAC of 0.197, more than double the legal limit in the state of Georgia.

Carter expects to be “fully exonerated of any criminal wrongdoing” and “answer all misdemeanor charges against me and make sure the full and exact truth is presented.”

He is listed as the top prospect in this year’s draft. Chicago Bears own the best choice, but are reportedly willing to buy it. Carter was a five-star recruit from Apopka High School in Florida. This season, he was a unanimous All-American and All-SEC first team player. In 2021, he was named to the All-SEC Second Team.
