ESPN’s Jalen Rose apologizes for wanting to go public with the name of the woman Ime Udoki had an affair with.
Ime Udoka has been suspended for the entire 2022/23 NBA season. Boston Celtics after he had an affair with a team member.
At some point ESPN Jalen Rose said the woman’s name should be made public. It hasn’t happened yet.
On ESPN’s NBA Countdown Friday night, Rose apologized for the statement.

“I would like to apologize for the comment I made previously in “NBA Countdown”. I asked why the name of the woman who allegedly had an affair with Celtics head coach Ime Udoka was not made public.
“After an internal investigation that revealed she was a subordinate of the head coach, I now fully understand why her name should not be made public.”
The case was a violation of team policy, and former NBA veteran Matt Barnes said the situation was “100 times uglier than any of us thought.”
“It’s not about what he did, it’s about who he did it to, which really turns the game on its head when it comes to this case,” Barnes said. “It doesn’t just happen in the NBA. It happens all over the workplace. But like I said, it’s not so much about the actions.”

Brooklyn Nets even reportedly in the final stages hire Udoka as head coach after they fired Steve Nash earlier this week. The Celtics will reportedly allow Udoka to leave the organization without expecting any compensation from the Nets.

Udoka was an assistant under Nash with nets in the 2020-21 season. Jacques Vaughn is currently the acting head coach.
Udoka has been in a relationship with actress Nia Long since 2010, but they never got married.
