Chinese citizen and Italian tourists killed in minibus collision in Egypt, 5 others seriously injured
Authorities said at least two tourists were killed and five more seriously injured on Thursday in a minibus-truck collision in southern Egypt.
Egyptian authorities said in a statement that one of the victims was Chinese citizen and the other in Italy. The two victims, aged 27 and 40, died Thursday morning when the minibus they were traveling in collided with a truck near Abu Simbel, site of the ancient temples of Ramses II, a popular tourist destination on the border with Sudan.
Another five were seriously injured in the accident and were taken to a hospital in the nearby city of Aswan, the report said. Aswan Governor Ashraf Attia said in a statement that the bodies of the two victims were taken to the morgue.

In another fatal accident on Thursday, 10 farm workers were killed when a bus overturned after colliding with a tractor in Egypt’s northern province of Beheira, local authorities said.
