ChatGPT 2.0: The creator of the AI bot that took the world by storm launches an even more powerful version
ChatGPT 2.0: The creator of the AI bot that took the world by storm is launching an even more powerful version called “GPT4” and admits it’s so advanced it could “hurt society.”
- New version of ChatGPT can understand images and use more online data
- It can pass its law exams in the top 90%, a huge jump from the previous model.
- But fears that he will still be innate prejudice, like its predecessor
openAIcreator of the wildly popular ChatGPThas released a new and even more powerful artificial intelligence robot, GPT-4, and admits it is so advanced it could be “harmful”.
The bot can now accept both image and text input, but still outputs its responses as text, which means it can offer detailed image descriptions.
If you ask: “What’s funny about this image?” GPT-4 will respond. Among other things, it can instantly calculate people’s tax liabilities and pass the Unified Bar Exam.
The OpenAI blog post states: “We have created GPT-4, the latest milestone in OpenAI’s efforts to scale up deep learning.
“GPT-4 is a large multi-modal model (image and text input and text output) that, while less efficient than humans in many real-world scenarios, demonstrates human-level performance across a variety of professional and academic benchmarks.

Open AI, the creator of the hugely popular ChatGPT, has launched a new and even more powerful AI bot, GPT-4, and admits it’s so advanced it could be “harmful.”
The company warned that the model is still prone to “hallucinating” inaccurate facts and can be persuaded to output false or harmful content.
He can now pass his law exams in the top 10% (GPT-3, which previously used ChatGPT, could pass his exams in the bottom 10%).
GPT-4 is now available to subscribers via ChatGPT: free users will still use the old GPT-3.5.
It is also used for the Microsoft Bing chatbot (the company said it has been doing this for six weeks now).
Microsoft head of consumer marketing Yusuf Mehdi said: “We are pleased to confirm that the new Bing runs on GPT-4 configured for search.
“If you’ve used the new Bing preview at least once in the past six weeks, you’ve already had an idea of the capabilities of the latest OpenAI model.”
The company says that GPT-4 is being integrated into other products from companies such as Duolingo and Stripe.
OpenAI said, “The GPT-4 models and beyond have the potential to have a significant impact on society for both good and bad.”

“We are collaborating with external researchers to improve our understanding and assessment of the potential impact, and to assess the dangerous capabilities that may appear in future systems.”
The ability to accept images means users can now offer screenshots and other media to ChatGPT.
Speaking at SXSW this week, the OpenAI co-founder said that fears that AI tools will take people’s jobs are exaggerated and that AI will free up people to focus on important work.
Brockman said: “The most important will be these higher level skills – judgment and knowing when to go into details.
“I think the real story here, in my opinion, is the amplification of what people can do.”
ChatGPT averaged 13 million daily visits in January, according to analytics firm SimilarWeb, making it the fastest growing internet app of all time.
It took TikTok about nine months after its global launch to reach 100 million users, while Instagram took more than two years.
OpenAI, a private company backed by Microsoft, made ChatGPT free to the public at the end of November.
