Ayala Land and Eton Properties unveil the iconic Parklinks Estate Bridge

An estate that embodies a sustainable and healthier lifestyle, work and play, Parklinks will be the largest mixed-use development in the 35-hectare main corridor C5. It is also considered the greenest urban estate of Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) and Eton Properties Philippines, Inc. (EPPI) in Metro Manila, where 50% of the land is devoted to open spaces.

One of the most distinctive features of the estate is the Parklinks Bridge. Inspired by modern European bridges, the Parklinks Bridge mimics a cable-stayed bridge with a 40m high arch spanning a 110m long and 25m wide roadbed diagonally. The bridge connects Quezon City and Pasig City across the Marikina River. Both companies conceived not only a functional landmark, but also a symbol of harmony connecting two major cities. Pedestrians and cyclists are also free to access the bridge via designated lanes, allowing everyone to enjoy safe and convenient travel in and around the city hub.

With its spacious open spaces, Parklinks is redefining what it means to live, work and play in an urban environment that promotes a healthier lifestyle. Robert Lao, Senior Vice President and Group Head of Ayala Land Estates, expressed ALI and EPPI’s shared vision: “Both parties believe it is important to strike a balance between profitability and sustainability, and our shared belief has led us to create an estate that will represent a new way of urban living.” . He continued, “Tonight we will open the Parklinks Bridge, the estate’s most iconic feature that enhances connectivity in this part of the metro.”

On behalf of the Hon. Joy Belmonte, Mayor of Quezon City, Hon. Gian Sotto, Vice Mayor of Quezon City, shared, “This bridge is sure to become a popular tourist destination, in addition to serving as a link.”

Meet the new iconic bridge

The inauguration of Parklinks Bridge proves a successful partnership between two of the most prominent Philippine developers: Ayala Land and Eton Properties.

Together with structural designers Systra Philippines and Systra Korea, ALI and EPPI created an iconic structure with 20 steel cables suspended from an arch. The cables are arranged asymmetrically, creating a spectacular and interesting background that changes when viewed from different angles. Ultimately, the design and architecture of Parklinks Bridge represents the elegance of synergy.
