Meralco allots P280M to power Manila subway

MANILA Electric Co. (Meralco) said Monday that it was allocating P280 million to develop a 115-kilovolt (kV) switching station that will ensure stable power for the Metro Manila subway project. Scheduled for completion in 2026, the switching station in Barangay Ugong, Valenzuela City, will connect the underground mass transport system to Meralco’s distribution network.
