Argentina Consumer Confidence November 2022

The Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTDT) consumer confidence index fell to 35.1 in November from 35.6 in October. Consequently, the index fell below the 50th threshold, which separates consumer optimism from pessimism.

Consumers have become more pessimistic about their future financial position, and their expectations of general economic conditions have worsened in the coming year. Moreover, the desire of consumers to purchase expensive goods has weakened.

Experts polled for the LatinFocus Consensus Forecast believe that private consumption will grow by 0.2% in 2023, unchanged from last month’s forecast. In 2024, experts expect private consumption to grow by 2.5%.
