Apple announced the new feature at its WWDC 2023 conference this week at its headquarters in Cupertino, California.
This feature will be in the Messages app and will come with the iOS 17 update, which is scheduled to launch in September.

“Once a user initiates registration, their friend or family member will be automatically notified as soon as the user arrives.
“If they don’t make progress toward their destination, useful information such as device location, battery level, and cellular status will be temporarily relayed to the selected contact.”
