Apocalypse games with enhanced graphics: Fallout 4

Bethesda has announced the release of a new major update for its Fallout 4 game, released almost a decade ago. Fallout 4 was released in 2015, making it one of the first major releases for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. The game has since been ported to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, but has not received major graphical updates to take advantage of this new hardware.

In 2023, Bethesda announced that Fallout 4 would be getting a major update with 4k and 1440p resolutions, improved frame rates to 120fps, and various fixes for known issues in the game. The update will be freely available to all players on PC and current generation consoles. On PS5 and XSX, the game will have a quality mode for 4k/60fps and a performance mode for 1080p/120fps.
