‘Another overseas trip would have been ridiculous’: PM sends Bowen to COP 28

Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen is set to attend the COP 28 Meeting.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the decision before returning home from the APEC Summit in San Francisco.

The move has spared the prime minister another overseas trip and Sky News Political Editor Andrew says the decision to send Mr Bowen in his stead was a good one.

“Sparing the PM yet another trip – yet another overseas trip would have been ridiculous,” he said.

The meeting is scheduled to take place in Dubai in December.
