Annabelle Nisham Import My Oberon Gets The Last All-Star Mile Wildcard
The My Oberon import galloper received the final wildcard in Saturday’s $5 million All-Star Mile race at The Valley.
Racing Victoria announced My Oberon, owned in part by AFL legend Chris Judd, as the 15th All-Star Mile candidate on Tuesday morning.

My Oberon, which is also partially owned by Moonee Valley Racing Club committee member David Sinn, was a Group 3 winner in England before winning the Group 2 Crystal Mile in the Valley on its Australian debut last October.
The gelding finished less than two distances from All-Star Mile favorite Alligator Blood in the Group 1 Mile Champions at Flemington during his final spring start.
However, My Oberon finished six lengths away from Alligator Blood when last in Group 1 of the Futurity Stakes when resuming at Sandown last month.
The steward’s report noted that My Oberon had exercise-induced pulmonary bleeding after the Futurity Stakes.
My Oberon will need a veterinary clearance to take his place in the All Star Mile.
TAB declared Alligator Blood the $3 favorite in their revised All-Star Mile market following the wildcard announcement.
Mr Brightside and I’m Thunderstruck have $5 and $6 odds, respectively, while Fangirl, who made the All-Star Mile field after leaving top three-year-old Jacquino, has $8 odds.
The All-Star Mile hurdle draw will take place next Tuesday.
