According to experts, there is a clear top four: Geelong, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

And the Demons are Premier League favorites, with more than half of pundits leaning towards Simon Goodwin winning the second flag in three seasons.

“I just think it’s a normal year for them,” All-Australian lookalike Lee Montagna said. foxfooty.com.au.

“I still think they have the best midfield in the tournament and their defense is elite.

Brisbane won't let the pressure bother them

“They just need to fix the movement of the ball and I believe given that this group has already played a lot together and they have added a couple of good pieces and they have a healthy Tom McDonald and Max Ghosn who can also go ahead.

“I think they will be the main threat that can win.”

Carlton has been widely circulated this year to jump into the top 8, while Fremantle and Collingwood appear to be the shakiest to miss the 2023 finals after performing last September.

“Collingwood is a great team and what they did last year was amazing. But I’m watching them closely and they should start the season very well, which is quite difficult for them,” said Bulldogs game record holder Brad Johnson. foxfooty.com.au.

“Their first month is the deciding month of the year, but so is the 14 teams competing for the top eight.”

Tipping Brownlow was widespread, with Clayton Oliver of Melbourne and Bulldog captain Marcus Bontempelli being the most popular.

Carlton's chances for the 2023 finals are estimated

“Sometimes it takes a while to get noticed by the judges, which sounds funny, but Oliver has been at the top of his game for a couple of years now,” said four-time Prime Minister Hawke Jordan Lewis. foxfooty.com.au.

“I think it’s just the position he plays and the dynamic way he plays that makes him stand out. And he has a coarse haircut that makes you stand out a little more.”

Father-son Lions pistol Will Ashcroft was Rising Star’s overwhelming favorite – “he’s already won it, hasn’t he?” Alastair Lynch said with a laugh, “while there are four people in the Coleman race: Jeremy Cameron, Tom Lynch, Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay.

Cameron was the most popular choice, but former Hawks sharpshooter Ben Dixon was very fond of Curnow.

“Charlie Curnow – he will score 100 goals this year. Draw him, he’s getting some big bags this year,” Dixon said optimistically. foxfooty.com.au.
